I don't think I've posted a picture of the costume from the video game so here it is. (Note that I did not mark the layers.. I found this on the internet and it has been a good resource to knowing how it is put together.)
Soooo it has been a while since I updated. Here are new pictures:
I added the lace to the edges and made the front part bigger.
Front, it will be smaller and shorter when it is fitted.
The hood, which took me two days to make. I made a 'normal' one from a pattern and then cut it up into the pieces like in the game. It looks pretty accurate, it's just the top need adjusting and the lining needs to be sewn.
Pieces for the shoulders.
Half of them constructed. It isn't the best sewing ever but it got the job done. I had to make my own pattern looking at the costume online.
Besides the tweaks to fitting it and all of the finishing touches I still need to make the middle layer of the costume and the belt and the cape. X_X The finish date is April so I need to do less bloggy more worky.
Em - looks like you have a lot of work to do, but I'm sure in the end it will be worth all your time and talents. Have Kim model the outfit when completed. I have to say it looks very complicated and I wouldn't have gotten has far as you have on this project. You should feel very proud of yourself. Keep up the GREAT work. Also glad the tsunami didn't hit the Hawaiian islands. Until later, Mom.
